New officer starts work with RFS

Inspector Mark Mulheron commenced work with the North West Zone and Bogan District Rural Fire Service (RFS) on Wednesday October 14 as operations officer.

Prior to joining the RFS as staff Mr Mulheron had worked for the NSW Attorney General’s Department. This included spending time at Coonamble working from the court house covering the Walgett, Coonamble and Coonabarabran shire areas as well as some of the Brewarrina Shire area up into Goodooga.

Mr Mulheron was most recently employed as acting regional manager for the North Region of the Attorney General’s Department based in Tamworth.

He has served as a volunteer with the RFS since 1990, having held various positions within the service including captain, training officer and deputy group captain.

Mr Mulheron will be based out of the Nyngan Fire Control Centre and can be contacted during office hours on 6832 2400.
