It is hoped that past and present guides (and their families) will join with us in celebrating this wonderful milestone. Details of the events will be advertised later on in the year.

Girl Guides Go Camping

In November the Girl Guides went to Oxley Park for the Brownsea Island camp. The camp was called this because Baden Powell took his first lot of troops to the Brownsea Island 102 years ago. We did activities that Baden Powell did with his boys.

Mrs T told us stories that Baden Powell would have told. We went yabbying down at the dam and caught two yabbies, one big one and one small one.

We got our own bedrooms and they had bunk beds. We chopped wood, lit the fire and cooked our own dinner.

We went animal tracking and played sight and memory games. It was awesome and we wish we could go back there again someday.

In November we went out to Oxley Park. We did lots of stuff like yabbying, cooking and craft. There were bunk beds.

I was in a room called the Ravens and Erin was in the Curlews. My favourite part was the yabbying and the cook-out.

Erin’s was the yabbying and rest time. We did lots of activities Baden Powell did like animal tracking, eyesight and memory training.

It was a complete success and we had so much fun.
