Sad start to show group’s year

Sad start to show group’s year

09 Feb, 2012 09:42 AM
The 2012 show executive comprising new president Chris Elder, secretary Louise Wass and treasurer Malcolm Menzies has commenced planning for this year’s annual Nyngan Show which will be held on May 13-14.

Our show year commences with sorrow and sense of loss as we note the passing of former president, life member and show patron Peter Dutton OAM.

Peter died peacefully on January 30 and our sympathy is extended to Mary and her family.

President Chris Elder has organised an informal gathering for chief stewards at the RSL club on Friday.

Chris would like to meet with the stewards to review their plans and ideas for the upcoming events. Stewards will have been contacted for this meeting.

A reminder to all advertisers, sponsors and stewards that the schedule is being assembled for the printer by secretary Louise Wass and notices have been mailed.

Please contact Louise with alterations before the end of February.

Thanks to the advertisers and sponsors as your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Regional judging for the RAS showgirls will be held at Canowindra on February 25. We wish our 2011 showgirl Jayne Walsh the best of luck at the judging.

The competition is a great experience and an opportunity to meet and mix with other exceptional young women.

Jayne is our showgirl steward and is already looking out for potential entrants for the 2012 competition.

Anyone interested can contact Jayne through our secretary Louise. Ph 6833 4407.

Our fashion parade steward Lynne, in conjunction with ewe2 from Trangie, will again present a parade of the latest ladies fashion as well as a showing of children’s clothes from our local shop.

We extend best wishes and good luck to Lynne for the coming weeks and our thoughts are with Lynne who we look forward to seeing at the show.

See you all at the 2012 show.
