Brown takes helm at Rotary club
11 Aug 10 | The Nyngan Rotary Club held its annual changeover and dinner and election of office bearers for the coming year at the Outback Motel with guests from far and wide who attended with special guests including past district governor Mr Greg Bevan and partner Lorraine and from Narromine assistant governor Mr Geoff Smith and partner Jenny. Also well represented was Warren Rotary Club.
11 Aug 10 | CWA members held their last meeting at the end of July just after the Group Council meeting at Wanaaring. Hermidale had six members attend that meeting so they all were up to date with the news of group.
Expo spirit on high
11 Aug 10 | What a success! “This year’s Country Energy Nyngan Ag Expo was up 50 exhibitors on last year, more people came through the gate and it was great to see everybody.
04 Aug 10 | Once again the ICPA (Isolated Children’s Parents Association) Nyngan Branch is bringing a fantastic Fashion Parade to the 2010 Nyngan Ag Expo to be held on Saturday August 7 at the Nyngan showground.
Past president honoured
04 Aug 10 | Immediate past president of the NSW Farmers’ Association Jock Laurie was honoured with life membership of the association in recognition of his service to agriculture.

04 Aug 10 | The Nyngan Showgrounds will be a hive of activity and excitement long before the sun rises and the gates open at 9am this Saturday August 7 for the 2010 Country Energy Nyngan Ag Expo.
21 Jul 10 | It has been brought to my attention that four of the Telstra technicians (two based in Nyngan, two in Cobar) have been offered voluntary redundancies. They primarily repair faults to landlines in the respective Shires, and have plenty of other work to do when not engaged in landline repairs.
Knitters wrap up labour of love
21 Jul 10 | A group of enthusiastic Nyngan ladies met last Tuesday, July 13 to finish up the ‘Wrap with Love’ community project for 2010.
Four-day trip full of wonderful bonding
14 Jul 10 | Far Western CWA: On Thursday May 13, 17 Far Western Group CWA members linked up with the Oxley group bus at Nevertire and Warren, then kept on travelling, with an occasional stop to fortify ourselves with food and drink until we arrived at Port Macquarie about 6pm that evening.
14 Jul 10 | A pushbike ride of almost 600kms doesn’t sound like everyone’s idea of fun but that wasn’t the case for a group of riders who stopped off in Forbes on Tuesday. Twelve riders comprising a group of family and friends are riding between Oberon and Nyngan.
