Congratulations to our under 12s, 14s and 16s for making the Group 14 Netball Grand Final to be held in Gilgandra on Saturday.
These girls have had a long and trying season and have only one more hurdle to overcome. The three teams will all meet with Coonabarabran in their respective age groups in what is shaping as a real showdown of the two top netball associations in the group. The rivalry will be fierce so we need all our supportors to make the trip to cheer them on.
Our girls have a great chance in all grades based on last Saturday’s form in the semi-finals.
The under 12s are hitting their straps at the right time and playing great netball. The under 14s are saving their best game for last and the under 16s are ready to go out on a high in what will be the final game as a junior netballer for five of our stars.
It should be a terrific day of netball starting at 10.30am for the 12s, 11.30am for the 14s, and the 16s to start at 12.30pm. Come out and support our girls and help make it a Tigers 1, 2, 3. Go the Tigers.
UNDER 12S
Tegan Douglas: Tegan is a strong shooter and defender who can use her height well, along with her tight defence and rebounding skills she will make it extremely hard for the opposition.
Tarsha Hawley: Tarsha is an athletic player who is able to read the play very well, combined with her goal scoring ability and strong defence will be a valuable player for her team.
Kelsey Grimmond: Kelsey is a mid-court player with the potential to change and win a game by intercepting and controlling her area with good results.
Ebony Blake: Ebony’s position in the centres and defence will give the mid-court a lift.
We know Ebony will give her usual 100 per cent to stop the flow of the ball.
Brianna Rowley: Brianna’s defending and controlling of the play in the goal circle will be highlighted by her tight defence and rebounding skills.
Samantha Vane: Samantha will apply consistent pressure on the opposition players and strive towards the performance of her life.
Chloe Jones: Accuracy will not be the problem when it comes to shooting for Chloe, she can also defend which makes her a very valuable player.
Brooke Carthew: Brooke’s on court skill combined with good leading and drive from all positions will make her a valuable asset on court.
Tamika Ryan: Tamika plays well and will really fight for possession of the ball. Tamika might not have the height advantage but the opposition will need to look out for her court skills and speed.
Peita Quinton: Peita is a hard working defender who will be determined to lead her side into the Grand Final.
