The staff of Nyngan High School were very generous in supporting Year 12’s final fundraising activity of the year last week.
Year 12 students visited the homes of some staff last Wednesday night and “procured” a number of items from each home.
Mr Fox awoke to find his car had no wheels and Mr Sonntag had more items disappear than he could list.
All the items were miraculously intact and were “auctioned” back to staff on Thursday morning with the rest of the school students present.
Several staff had to offer at least $50 to buy back their goods.
The money raised will be distributed to the local hospital and to Yarrabin early in Term 4.

Staff changes
Thank you to Mr Kenneth Hutchings for his contribution to the school and to music and computing classes.
Mr Hutchings has been successful in his application to work for the DET Information Technology Directorate in Sydney.
He will be working on the upgrade of the new DET website.
Our best wishes go to Kenneth and Meredith in their newest venture.
Mr Dawson will be taking up the music classes for Term 4 and Mr Greenslade will take over the computing classes.
There is a new staff member for Term 4 in Candice Savell.
Candice will help with day-to-day coverage of classes and comes with a great wrap of her abilities from the principal at Gilgandra High School.
Melissa Pumpa will also begin a five-week practice in PE with Mrs Smith her supervisor form Monday October 19.

NRL - a new
initiative
Nyngan High School is introducing a new program next term to further improve the literacy and numeracy skills of students.
The new program is to be named NRL (Numeracy Reading Literacy) and will replace the DEAR time after lunch.
The classes will be re-arranged to reflect the needs of students and the program will be in a state of constant evaluation during the term.
A whole range of additional support materials has been purchased including testing kits to support student progress.
The NRL program will focus on literacy in Term 4 but will include both literacy and numeracy modules throughout 2010.
