CARPET BOWLS: Three weeks ago Gwen and Fran took on Olive and Dorothy and beat them 9-6. The next game was a very close one when Bill and Margaret downed Myrtle and Maureen 5-4 then Bill and Margaret went on to win the final 4-3 from Gwen and Fran.
Myrtle won the door prize.
The following week Myrtle and Maureen teamed up and took on Fran and Pam, welcome back Pam, and came up winners 10-3, then Fran and Bill beat Gwen and Pam 5-3. Myrtle and Maureen won the final 6-3 from Fran and Bill. Myrtle was the lucky door winner.
Last Thursday Fran and Myrtle were convincing winners from Jean and Bill 10-5. Jean and Gwen were next on the little green mat against Pam and Dorothy and beat them 8-3. The final was between Myrtle and Fran who won 6-3 from Jean and Gwen. Pam was the lucky door prize winner.
After bowls we were joined by the ladies from 50 and over, Keep Fit and Pensioners for a farewell afternoon for Elsie Ring who is leaving us to live with her daughter Sue and family, we will all miss her as she was a great friend to us all.
