So many things going on in pony club everywhere.
On July 11-19 the Pony Club National Championships were held at Horsley Park and consisted of ODE SJ Dressage and Mounted games.
On the night of July 16 a dinner was held in the Equestrian Centre at which 600 people attended, including riders.
Peter and Mary Dutton were invited to this function and Peter presented life membership badges to former State President Roger Braham and main instigator of mounted games many years ago Rob Bennett.
The Pony Club Association of NSW now has three life members, the two just mentioned and Peter Dutton.
Also competing at these Nationals were former Nyngan members, the Hare family, our friend and advisor Denis Piggot and Leo deKroo, former Chief Instructor of Zone 4 was MC at the dinner.
Nyngan Pony Club riders are to be congratulated on the wonderful performance at the Zone 4 jamboree. Our monthly rally will be held on Sunday August 16, commencing at 10am. There will be a very special lunch provided on this day to show appreciation to our jamboree riders and also Jodi Robb will be there as guest instructor to give our riders the benefit of her barrel riding knowledge. Should be a great day.
Next on the list is our Great Debate to be held in the Rugby Union Club House on Friday August 28, more news about this evening next week.
Our Club ODE will be on Sunday September 6 and the course will be closed from August 9, so all riders make the most of it for the next few days, now the best is last. The much talked about cattle drive will commence from the Nyngan Showground on October 14 and will return three days later.
This drive is for all ages, even led riders as long as they have someone to lead them. The only other rule is that all who participate in this cattle drive must be a member of a Pony Club.
More news next week.
