Fine riding from girls at Coonamble

Only two pony club members travelled to Coonamble on August 1 and 2.

Lizzy Hoy competed both days, taking out the A-grade overall champion by picking up first in the six-bar, first grand prix, second equitation and second in the 2.2 dressage test.

Mackinley Codrington joined Lizzy on Sunday for the gymkhana with both girls having great success.

In the14-17 years Lizzy was first in the running T, first barrel, first stockmen’s twist, first riding class and first bareback. In the 8-10 years Mackinley was second in her riding class, second bareback, first running T, second barrel, second stockmen’s twist, second keyhole, second in-out paddock and third stockmen’s challenge.

Both girls were awarded championships for their respective age groups with each winning a rug.
