17 Sep 09 | The ladies have been busy attending President’s days. Melissa Arandale’s team was the winner at Cobar, with Liz Wynne’s team taking home the morning trophy and Jenny Parry’s team taking home the afternoon trophy.
27 Aug 09 | CARPET BOWLS: Another two weeks of fun and bowls have gone by with very small line-ups, players with some sickness and other commitments. We would like to invite other senior citizens who would like to come along and join in for a great afternoon of fun and a cuppa after our bowls. Please come along and have a go.
30 Jul 09 | The final of the Championship Singles for 2009 was played some four weeks ago between Jenny Parry and Tayla Conway. The day was windy and overcast with the sun’s appearance on a very rare occasion. Tayla got away to a lead but Jenny fought back to make it interesting before the final outcome.
22 Jul 09 | Two weeks ago there was only a small group at carpet bowls but it was like every Thursday with lots of laughs and fun. First up, Gwen and Fran played Olive and Dorothy and had a win 9-6. Myrtle and Maureen came out fired up but it didn’t last long in a very low-scored 5-4 win to Bill and Margaret. The final was another low-scoring game when Gwen and Fran beat Bill and Margaret 4-3.
09 Jul 09 | Nyngan’s female golfers will host the 2009 WD Far West Rose Bowl on July 18 and 19 with 130-150 golfers expected to participate.
17 Jun 09 | The long weekend mixed triples had 22 teams from throughout the State travelling from Wagga, Mona Vale, Coonabarabran, Trangie, West Dubbo and Warren, 11 rinks, 66 bowlers all together.
11 Jun 09 | On the weekend before the long weekend the first round of the Championship Pairs was completed with B Carney and J DeeBank defeating D Wynne and L Waterhouse on Saturday, and on Sunday J Chalker and T Conway defeating L Ryan and A Shields. The second round has to be completed by Saturday June 20 with the
following games to be played.
27 May 09 | Friday night chicken run was won by Ron Sullivan and Phil Gibson.
20 May 09 | The second semi-final in the Ladies Championship Singles was played on Sunday between Tayla Conway and Liz Wynne.
13 May 09 | Friday’s chicken run was won by Di and Sis and the runner-ups were Moo and Jake.
