Congratulations to the winners of the Ladies Pairs Championship Jenny Chalker and Tayla Conway who defeated Helen Beetson and Jenny Parry.
A great game to watch and many spectators came along to see them compete for this title.
Tayla Conway is away this week playing singles and triples for NSW Bowls against Combined High Schools and an invitational team at Port Macquarie.
Adam Lee is to be congratulated on being selected to play for Country against City, to be held in November.
Rick Pitt and Malcolm McBrien will be competing in the NSW Rookies Pairs event to be held at Raymond Terrace on October 3 and 4.
The bowls results for the week ending 20th September:
Wednesday’s winners were Melissa Arandale and Troy Stephens, runners-up Alison Hampstead and Paul Williams.
Friday night’s winners were Danny Waterhouse and Hayley Lane.
Sunday’s winners were Jenny Parry and Mary Millar
Sunday: The semi-finals of the men’s minor singles were contested by Todd Rope and Kelvin Waterhouse with Todd defeating Kelvin 31-23.
Todd will play Moo Thornton in the final of the minor singles at a later date.
Coming events: Pink Day, September 26 will begin at 3pm. Names need to be in by Friday, September 25.
This charity day is a great fun day and a chance to come and try your hand at bowls, so bring your friends along.
The Nyngan Bowling Club’s AGM will be held at the Nyngan Bowling Club on September 27 at 10.30 am.
