Conway takes win from nip tuck game

20 May, 2009 03:45 PM
The second semi-final in the Ladies Championship Singles was played on Sunday between Tayla Conway and Liz Wynne.

A nip and tuck game was seen by those at the club with Talya leading for the majority of the game, Liz got to the front with a couple of ends to go, but Tayla prevailed and has reached her second championship final, congratulations.

Tayla will now meet Jenny Parry in the final on Thursday at 3.30pm with Liz Wynne the marker.

A minor singles game was played between Deanna Stephens and Marie Bexon, this game gave the onlookers value for money with the ladies playing a very even game, winner on the day goes to Marie, again congratulations.

Thank you to the markers for both games.

Our AGM for 2009 is looming, so please check the board for nomination forms, also there are invitations to Trangie, Bourke and delegates’ day.

The raffle seller for this week is Lyn Hawley and on May 27 it is Anne Morrison.
