There is a tournament running over two nights starting on Saturday January 23 as the first round and finishing on the evening of Monday January 25.

The format is open pairs with a twist. To make it a level playing field those bowlers - men and women - who played Pennant twos and threes can’t play with each other, but may choose to pick a partner from any other playing member. Non-Pennant players have seven handicap, so your tally must be no more then a 10.

I think I have the right interpretation, check with the committee. Other rules for the tournament are also with the match committee.

The Ladies Pennant

teams have been picked for this year, check the board as to who you are with and when there will be roll-ups, as

in training, against each

other and hopefully against the men.

Check the board for the championships as the draw has been done, and the new raffle roster is also on the board. The lady this week for the raffle is Alison Hampstead.

Congratulations to Talya Conway who flew out of Sydney bound for Adelaide with the NSW State side on Monday morning January 11. Her first game was to be Monday afternoon but owing to the extreme heat the bowls was cancelled.

On Tuesday NSW had three wins, playing WA in the morning, SA in the afternoon and WA again in the evening.

On Wednesday NSW played SA in the morning and Vic in the afternoon, with two wins for the day. On Thursday morning NSW played Vic with another win.

Overall NSW had two rink losses.

Tayla played lead for the Triples and the Fours. Believe that all who travelled to watch Tayla had a great time, arriving home rather tired and out of voice from all the supporting of the NSW side.
