CARPET BOWLS: Another two weeks of fun and bowls have gone by with very small line-ups, players with some sickness and other commitments. We would like to invite other senior citizens who would like to come along and join in for a great afternoon of fun and a cuppa after our bowls. Please come along and have a go. Two weeks ago Fran and Marcia were first up and they just beat Myrtle and Bill 9-8. Next was Margaret and Jean up against Gwen and Maureen who won 16-3 and thought they were unbeatable in the final against Fran and Marcia but went down 10-0 which was a letdown after their first round. Maureen won the door prize.

Last Thursday there were only four players, which meant only one game, was needed, Marcia and Maureen beat Jean and Margaret 10-2.

Ruth our scorer was there like always doing a great job trying to keep us in line and also motivated, Gwen was also there but had a sore knee, she still came along to join in for a cuppa.

Bowls is on Thursdays from 1.45pm.
