Weather puts dampener on weekly games

A good roll-up of bowlers for the Golden Oldies, all out to try the newly-renovated green on Tuesday January 24.

The wet weather has kept bowlers off the greens for most of the week but it is great to get some much-needed rain.

Twilight bowls round seven winners and catch-up games:

Mick Parry, Jayden Bonello and Don Cameron defeated Tom O’Neill, Graham Tomek and Adam Jermyn (sub).

Barry and Helen Beetson and Maxine Christoff defeated Ron and Ronda Sullivan and Frank Walsh.

Les and Marie Bexon and Patrick Hogan defeated Brien Bonello, Neill Gudgeon and Mark Jenkins.

Adam Lee, Mary Millar and Betty Carney defeated Jenny Parry, Peter McKecknie and Macarla Parry.

Tuesday Golden Oldies winners: Rex Vane and Max Oliver.

Friday night January 27 Robb’s Butchery draw $150 was won by Kevin Reynolds. Congratulations Kevin.

Events coming up:

Members please note Men’s Pairs first round will commence this Saturday February 4, check starting time. Sunday February 5 second rounds.

Men’s Fours February 18 and 19.

Ladies sheets are on the board for all championship nominations. Put your names in if you wish to play in these events.

Weekly social bowls starting time:

Tuesday: Golden Oldies names by 10am.

Twilight teams Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Friday night: Names in by 5.30pm

Sunday: Names by 10am.
