The students were greeted by a variety of versions of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs books when visiting the library.
These titles were shared and enjoyed by students in preparation for a gala performance on the Tuesday of Book Week.
Tuesday also saw the emergence of many well-known book characters and famous stars as the students arrived all dressed up.
The students were then able to watch a gala performance from the staff as they presented the Nyngan Public version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
There were special effects including lightning, visual and sound plus outstanding costumes.
The students then showed their creative costumes before returning to classrooms to study a short-listed book. These books were kindly purchased by the P & C.
Parents and friends joined students in classrooms to enjoy the study of these champion books.
Parents and friends were invited to attend the Ashton Scholastic Book Fair with their children.
As a result of sales from the book fair the library monitors were then able to choose books to be added to the library collection.
Thanks to everyone for their support in this fundraising event.
On Thursday Kinder took part in a video conference. This use of technology allowed the students to talk to author Kellie Bollard about her books.
Her books In the Bin and Worms Mechanics Organics are designed to teach the students about sustainability.
The staff and students are now packing up from a great Book Week with costumes and props being stored safely away for future use.
The staff are already thinking about the performance for next year- so watch out for another gala performance.
