Nyngan Pony Club riders had an outstanding weekend at the recent Zone 4 One Day Event, hosted by the club.
About 50 riders from as far as Mudgee, Coonabarabran and Bourke came to Nyngan for the rescheduled event.
All but one Nyngan rider managed a placing on the day which was a great result.
Maddison Harley won a competitive A grade division riding Gem, just ahead of Annabelle Hoy on Sir Joindre.
Victoria Hoy was the overall winner in B grade on Aokay. In C grade Jack McLaughlin was third on Biff, ahead of his sister Alex who unfortunately fell off in the showjumping phase and was eliminated.
D grade was a hard-fought group, with Holly Stokes on Ernie taking first place, just ahead of Heidi Stokes who was second. Hilary Yabsley came in third and Phoebe Yabsley was fifth. In the D grade associate division, Chelsea Edmunds was first.
In E grade, Amy Motley was second on Nugget, Sophie Yabsley was third on Mickey and Lucy McLaughlin was fifth on Olympia.
Thankyou to everyone who came and helped, especially Elaine Johnson who always works tirelessly everywhere.
Also to Chris and Noni Dutton for showjump judging, Janet Hamblin for judging and scoring and all the parents who chipped in and helped set up and put away.
Also thankyou to the Bogan Shire Council for having the grounds in great shape.
