At last the Nyngan Tigers got their act together when they played against Dubbo Westside at Dubbo on Sunday.
It’s the first time for a while that the players have got in and supported the ball carrier.
From there they found room to run into holes and then unloaded balls to players in good positions.
Nyngan controlled the ball and led at half-time 40 to 6, and then went on to win 62 to 12.
Gerald Mackay was Nyngan’s pick of ‘Player of the Day’ but was closely followed by Fijian Lai, Old Jone in the centres with Jacob Neill, Dekka Knight and Luke Matheson controlling the play from around the play-the-balls.
Westside scored off a kick when the Tigers had a nap and allowing them to break us down in the middle of the ruck.
Hopefully Nyngan will take heart from that performance as they prepare for the semi-finals.
The boys take on Dubbo Cyms on Sunday at Larkin Oval and this will be the last game of the Group 11 competition prior to the commencement of the semis.
This highly-anticipated game will have the crowd on the edge of their seats and blood pressure will be guaranteed to see-saw during the game!
See you on Sunday!
