I know the footy competition is done and dusted for another year but to the boys, I think it’s still a bit of a blur.
The way the boys played the grand final, their side depleted by injury and with key players missing, was a massive credit to them.
Snow Robb and Matt Woods knew they had to play full games in hot conditions and were a stand-out. Dom Kennedy’s usual rock solid defence out wide, Pothole’s brilliance in the middle, old man Frewy’s toughness up the guts and Matt Sheather’s control and cool head when we most needed it, all combined in a great team effort.
The boys want to thank our two special Fijian brothers for coming back to Nyngan each week. They helped make winning the grand final possible.
We also wish Munz a speedy recovery.
I personally want to thank each and everyone of the Nyngan people that travelled down to Dubbo to support us. I truly believe the Nyngan crowd’s enthusiasm and desire was what got us over the line in the end.
It seems it doesn’t matter what grade, what code, what age group, Nyngan people are always there to give support and stick in to their rivals.
Go the Tigers!
