The itinerary is extensive and will include a number of visits to Tongling Number 15 Middle School where, I believe, we will be treated like rock stars by the enthusiastic Chinese students.
We’ll also be visiting such iconic settings such as The Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, various museums and, of course, the Great Wall of China.
We’ve been preparing for this trip with some terrific language lessons kindly run by Wendy Yao. Hopefully, we do her proud when we say ‘Zao Shung Hao’ (Good morning) or ‘Ni Hao Ma?’ (How are you?).
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the support of those who have kindly contributed towards our trip.
We’ve been highly successful in raising the funds needed for the trip through generous monetary donations and support for events from Nyngan and the wider community. Thanks to everyone involved.
We will be away for 10 days and will come back with plenty of experiences and lots of photos.
We’ll report back to everyone with some colourful insights and highlights from our China adventure on our return.
