First up there was Dave Buggy who lead the field home with his 57 nett. Showing a lot of determination and a fair amount of skill he parred the two holes that plagued him, most namely the fifth and 13th, the only real chink in his game was a triple bogey seven on the 18th.
A shame there cannot be two winners as Jeff Leek finished the day with 59 nett, a score that would win nine times out of 10, at least he must feel satisfied that he posted his best score yet with his 80 off the stick.
Ball winners with scores that were not too shabby were Dave Bartley 64 nett and Pat Walsh 65 nett.
Dave dominated the pins winning two of the four, Tex and Peto cleaned up the rest.
Medal play-off is set down for Saturday October 25. Those involved are Andy Lane, Warren Murray, Tex Tomek, Don Walsh, John Wynne, Tim Lewis, Pat Walsh and the odds-on favourite Dave Buggy, good golfing to all of you.
A special thanks again to Ray Howell who sponsors all of the medal rounds.
Sunday’s Par Event had eight starters and the only person to return positive figures was the man of the moment Dave Buggy with +3 and the nearest to the pin on the 12th.
Barry Howell had a passable score of -1, the rest of the scores were well below average, pin winner over the cowell was Tex.
In ladies mid-week Jenny Holmes was also on a roll with wins in the last two games, both on a count back, Nicole Chambers was the unlucky loser.
Next Saturday the game is a Stableford and Sunday is Nyngan Tyres and Batteries Day, an Irish 2 Ball Medley Select sponsored by Steve and Merril Peterson.
Badge draw remains at $200, after lanky Don picked up the loot last Thursday.
