This is an open invitation to all the Nyngan community to come along to help officially launch our new “people space” library commencing at 11am at the library.
Included in this event will be a 75-year celebration of the NSW Library Act with a cutting of a 75-year anniversary celebration cake. The NSW Library Act was passed by State Parliament on November 3, 1939. This landmark legislation led to the provision of free public library services for the people of NSW. Seventy-five years later, public libraries are going strong, with 369 libraries across the state, 3.2 million members (that’s 44 per cent of the population), 46 million loans per annum and over 35 million people visiting libraries each year.
Don’t forget our Home Service is available for anyone who is unable to get to the library due to illness or disability. Just give us a call on 6835 9080 to organise a visit.
Story Time continues on a fortnightly basis on Tuesdays commencing at 10.30am. The next sessions will be held on October 28, 11 and November 25.
BorrowBox ebooks and eaudio and Zinnio emagazines. All you need is your library card number and a Pin number which we can generate for you to use these apps.
