Are you looking for a family summer sport that supports skills development and the joy of achieving? If you are swimming club is for you. Club night is held on Fridays commencing at 6pm. Swimmers must be four years old to register.
Due to insurance regulations this year all swimmers must be registered before they can swim on Friday nights. Swimmers club caters for all abilities from 10m events with floatation aids to 200m for the older swimmers.
Information sessions will be held at the pool on Sunday October 26, midday to 2pm at the pool. The pool is looking sensational thanks to lots of off-season work by the Bogan Shire Council. There will be information on the on-line registration process, squad training and other useful information for parents and swimmers.
The first Friday night swim is scheduled for Friday October 31, 2014 – hopefully the pool will have warmed up by then.
This year several club swimmers achieved Junior Excellence (JX) Awards. Under the program, swimmers aged from nine to 13 years who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia qualify at gold, silver, bronze or green standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.
Club swimmers who qualified for these awards were Will Boag , Kasey Douglas, William Gudgeon, Bill Quarmby, Petria Quarmby and a special mention to Rory Quarmby who qualified for gold. Swimming is going from strength to strength in Nyngan.
If you have a Friday night spare get down to the pool and see what wonderful talent is in our town. See you at the pool.
