8.45: A newborn baby survived for six days at the bottom of a stormwater drain in Sydney before being discovered on Sunday.
Police have charged the baby's mother with attempted murder and say it is unclear how the baby survived for so long, apparently without food or water, after it was dumped in the drain on Tuesday last week.
Rydalmere resident, David Otte, said it was "just unbelievable" to find the newborn boy down the 2.5-metre drain along a Quakers Hill bike path next to the M7.
About 4.40am Saturday, emergency services responded to reports a three-bedroom fibro house was alight.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze.
The house was owned by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
There was no one inside.
At this stage, the blaze is not being treated as suspicious.

The pop star, who kicked off the Sydney leg of her Prismatic tour on Friday night, posted an open letter addressed to the Australian press condemning the actions of the local photographers.
"You should be ashamed of your paparazzi and tabloid culture. Your paparazzi have no respect, no integrity, no character. NO HUMANITY," she wrote to her 60.3 million followers.
8.14: It looked lopsided on paper and that's exactly how it turned out as Dubbo comprehensively outclassed Orange in their SCG Cup fourth round match at Lady Cutler 1 yesterday.
The Dubbo side has made the SCG Cup their priority this season and with the strongest side in some time at captain Tim Cox's disposal they look more than capable of making a run deep into the finals of the statewide competition.
The understrength Orange side could only make 56 against the home side's star-studded bowling attack at Lady Cutler 1 with Tim Berry this time the standout, taking 6-7 from 7.1 overs.
8.07: More than seven in 10 Orana businesses had difficulty trying to recruit staff in the past year, according to a new study released by Regional Development Australia (Orana).
It was one of the findings from the Workforce capacity of the Orana Region report, which was presented at Friday's inaugural Orana Outlook 2014 dinner.
Reasons given by those businesses that experienced recruitment difficulties included a lack of basic work skills (31 per cent), a lack of specialist skills (31 per cent) and a lack of talent caused by remoteness (27 per cent).
Some businesses reported competition for staff and wage pressures within the Orana region as creating difficulties in attracting and retaining staff.

7.46: Emergency services were called to an explosion near Bogan Gate just after 5pm yesterday afternoon .
Nearby residents described the explosion as very loud with a red and yellow smoke while the blast was also felt more than 30 kilometres away in Parkes.
Early indications point to the explosion originating from a storage shed, a number of kilometres from the Condobolin Road, filled with pyrotechnics.
Approximately 20 houses within the two kilometre exclusion zone were evacuated with some residents returning from seasonal work, only to be forced to wait outside the exclusion zone.

7.15: A search is under way for a prisoner who escaped juvenile justice custody at the weekend.
The 17-year-old boy was taken to Dubbo Hospital just before 6pm Saturday to be treated for a wrist injury.
While the teen was being treated, he escaped custody and fled the hospital. Police were alerted and officers from Orana Local Area Command conducted a large search for him but he was not found.
The juvenile is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, between 180cm and 185cm tall, with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes.
Police say he could be heading towards Orange, Bourke or Sydney. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him but to contact triple-0 immediately.
