An 18-year-old male has been killed by a shark off the coast of Port Douglas, after receiving serious wounds to his leg and thigh.

Daniel Smith, 18, from Mossman was attacked at Rudder Reef, with emergency services contacted at 11.32am.
A Cairns Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said Mr Smith was treated on a boat, with paramedics performing CPR and trying to resuscitate him with a defibrillator.
His injuries included serious wounds to his leg and thigh.
It has been reported Mr Smith was fishing with friends when he was attacked. They called authorities following the attack and performed emergency first aid on him during a two-hour trip back to shore.
Rudder Reef is a popular hotspot for Great Barrier Reef tourist operators and is popular with anglers searching for large reef fish.
