Merry Christmas to you all.
It is an opportune time to greet one another, to visit one another, give love and gifts to one another.
But what is new in this Christmas? Every year we gather together as one family to celebrate that first holy night when the saviour was born and became one of us.
We sing Christmas carols as a proclamation that God is with us and a gesture of thanksgiving to God who loves us. But what is new in this Christmas?
Many said that Christmas is all about “New”- new dress, new shoes, new gadgets, new friends, new faces, what else?
Unless you have something in your mind other than these? But is new in this Christmas? What is missing in this Christmas?
It could be you, it could be us. Perhaps, in this Christmas we need to sit down for a while and have a moment of silence, to think about you.
Yes, about you. Christmas is all about you and Jesus Christ. Do you want him to be born in the manger of your heart? That is Christmas.
Have a meaningful Christmas to all and a blessed new year. I love you all.
Yours in Christ Jesus,
Fr. Line Abilgos
