The second round of funding for the AGL Nyngan Solar Plant Construction Community Fund will be advertised in April / May.
AGL Nyngan Solar Plant Project Manager, Adam Mackett, said “we are so pleased our grant is making a very tangible contribution to the Nyngan Pre School by significantly reducing the costs of the school’s energy consumption’’.
Nyngan Pre School Manager, Chantelle Finlay said “the solar panels will have a massive impact on our service budget’’.
“It is expected that savings on our electricity bill will be somewhere in the vicinity of $900 per quarter. This saving will then come back into the annual budget, which could potentially provide higher budget allocation for equipment and resources for the children or even for increased staffing.”
