During the last week the Nyngan Bowling Club has been a hive of activity with numerous championship games which had to be played by March 22. Fours championship semi-final held Saturday Michael McGlynn, Kevin Reynolds, Darrell Anderson and Andrew Reynolds defeated Patrick Hogan, Ron Sullivan, Phil Gibson and Steven Read. Isaac Kershaw, Rodney Ryan, Rick and Adam Jermyn defeated Paul Williams, Chris Beetson, Nicholas Gibbs and Barry Beetson. The final game of the 2015 fours championship was played on Sunday morning and the winners were Isaac, Rodney, Rick and Adam defeating Michael, Kevin, Darrell and Andrew in a great game right until the last end. Congratulations to the winners.
Ladies major singles first-round winner results:
Lyn Hawley defeated Margaret Morley. Joy Deebank defeated Marie Bexon, Alison Hampstead defeated Doreen Read, Maxine Christoff defeated Teressa Rose, Rose Ryan defeated Dianne Smith, Dianne Wynne defeated Helen Beetson, Tamika Ryan defeated Betty Carney.
Singles championship round:
Adam Jermyn defeated Michael McGlynn.
Golden Oldies: Winners Ron Sullivan and Adam Jermyn.
Wednesday night barefoot bowls March 18 winners: Deanna Stephens, Karina Dunn and Allira Robb. Runner-up team Teressa Rose, Christine Bartley and Louise Shone. Congratulations to all the prize winners and it is fantastic to see so many keen bowlers on the green and having a great time.

The badge draw is for $1100 tonight Wednesday March 25 also on Sunday March 29 between 2pm and 3pm. Robb’s Butchery meat draws are on Wednesday nights plus Robb’s second-chance meat draw on March 25. You must be a financial member and be at the bowling club to win either of these draws.

The bowling club is running a raffle for a pool table which will be drawn Good Friday. Tickets are $2 per ticket or three tickets for $5. No need to be at the draw to win this prize.
Events coming up
Good Friday Team Challenge: Mixed teams of three will play 16 ends. Morning game will be triples and afternoon game teams will split into pairs and singles. Starting time is 10am. All scores will be added to find winners and runner-up teams.
Cost is $15 which includes fish and chips for lunch.
Seafood trays will be raffled on the day. There is also an Easter cake which has been beautifully decorated and donated by Doreen Read. Tickets are at the bar. The cake and pool table raffle will be drawn on Good Friday. There is a sheet on the board for nominations which will close Thursday evening April 2. Single nominations. All bowlers welcome new or old.

Friday night names in by 5.30pm start 6pm.
