Nyngan Day View last met on March 4 and were made very welcome by the new hosts Vivienne, David and staff at the Australia Hotel. Sixteen ladies enjoyed a splendid lunch and then guest speakers Bruce and Helena from the solar farm. Both spoke enthusiastically about Nyngan and the people. They explained that the farm was situated on 1000 acres west of Nyngan, the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere, and it has an expected life of 25 years. Over one million panels, which placed end to end would stretch from Nyngan to Brisbane and back feeds electricity directly into the grid. The drawing of the raffle was won by Mona Johnston and the lucky door was won by Suzette McKinnon.
