Wellington were the first to score but Nyngan soon hit back through tries to Les Boney and Kieran Parry, who is continuing to improve each week after several years away from football.
Nyngan jumped out to a 16-4 lead but two quick tries to Wellington just before half-time narrowed the margin to 16-14.
Nyngan worked well in the forwards as Cameron Bourke consistently made good ground with strong runs through the middle of the ruck. Sean Young worked hard in defence, making plenty of metres with selective running from dummy half.
After the half-time break Nyngan made several defensive errors in reading the numbers that were matched up against them and Wellington jumped to a 24-16 lead.
Nyngan tried hard to get back in the match but fatigue gradually allowed Wellington to slowly creep ahead to end up winners 34-16.
Nyngan blew at least four try-scoring opportunities during the game and this score could have been quite easily gone the other way with a bit of control at the final stages of the movement.
This control will improve with further game time and training.
