“We strive to make sure that the show outperforms itself every year,” Chairperson of the Nyngan Ag Expo Rod Dewhurst said.
“We want to create a gathering place for the latest technologies and education for the agricultural industry and the attendance numbers affirm our place as one of the most important agricultural events in the western area.
“The AGL Nyngan Ag Expo offers visitors an exceptional experience. From gourmet food and retail bargains to machinery, get set for a sensational event,’’ he said.
Experience the Food and Wine Marquee sponsored by Aussie Country Catering; with locally-renowned entertainer Royden, who will be entertaining the masses as they enjoy their lunch and a glass of wine from local and regional providers. Royden is sponsored by the Nyngan RSL, Nyngan Newsagency and Glen Smith Shearing Contractor.
Children will be entertained by the baby animal farm, Ivan’s jumping castle, face painting and much more.
Ladies can stroll through the dedicated fashion and education, Wye pavilion or have a soothing massage while their partners explore the many big boys’ toys’ exhibitors.
And for the car enthusiast there will be the continuation of the ‘Car Show N Shine’.
The expo is a fun and informative platform where visitors are genuinely keen to hear from exhibitors, normal objections disappear as visitors are often in the mood to buy or are research-focused, looking to find out more before they buy. The visitors who attend expo are highly-motivated, interested in the types of products and services that are offered and many attend with the idea of doing a deal over the weekend.
All business owners know that one of their biggest needs is to get in front of their target market. They need to be seen and heard by potential customers. In today’s competitive marketplace, businesses are finding they have to get more and more creative in their approach.
Consumers have become tired of aggressive marketers. No-one appreciates a cold caller. Leaflets in letter boxes are often ignored. And increasingly, we don’t open emails from senders we don’t know. Exhibiting at this expo is a really important way to meet possible prospects.
“We offer a fun and interesting environment where the whole family turns out to see what is being offered. It’s a relaxed, warm atmosphere and brings like-minded potential clients to the exhibitor’s front door,” said Rod.
He went on to explain that this is a ‘community event for the community’ and that the volunteer committee has been organising this event for 23 years.
“All funds raised are distributed back into the community of Nyngan. This year we see Emily Bandi as the first recipient of our education foundation scholarship. The education foundation, in conjunction with the CEF, will continue on for many years, supported by funds raised at the expo each year.
“We are continually thankful for our sponsors, AGL Energy as naming rights, Aussie Country Catering, Coggan Wool, Bogan Shire Council, Elders, Nyngan Toyota, Landmark, Local Land Services, Carter, Lindsay, Weber, Robert Handsaker Ford, MGH Accounting, Prime 7. We welcome new sponsors Western Farm Machinery, Mathews Motorcycles, Ztags and BMI Industries. We are also grateful for the generous support from The Land, Western Magazine, Radio 2WEB and the Nyngan Observer.”
