On Saturday NJRLC will host their first home game of the Group X1 junior rugby league competition. There are more than 150 players registered this year, which speaks volumes of how well the club is travelling. It will be a huge day with the first games getting under way from 9am. Please get over and support the kids.
As usual full barbecue and canteen facilities will be available throughout the day.
Due to the increased participation rates we have basically run out of room at the junior league oval and will now utilise Moonagee Park (opposite the junior league oval) for mini games throughout the year. People may have already noticed the recently installed goal posts. NJRLC would like to thank the Bogan Shire Council for their co-operation and making the park available. Special mention to the boys for painting the goal posts, they look great.
The draw for Saturday is as follows:

9am U/7’s Nyngan Black V St Johns Blue.
9.40am U/7’s Nyngan Orange V St Johns Maroon

Go the Tigers!
Report on Saturday’s game.
The junior Tigers travelled to Narromine and Dubbo on Saturday and came away with some great results.
The U/10’s went down to St Johns Gold 14-10 in a super game of footy. These boys are getting better with every game and are sure to give this comp a real shake.
Cruize Cook was a stand out causing Saints trouble every time he ran, as did Dan Kennedy and Isac Drady who also took some stopping. In the forwards Samual Norris was strong doing plenty of work as did Brendo Waterhouse who didn’t take a backward step, Connor Burley was also impressive as was Tyson Dee-Bank.The U/11’s ran out impressive winners over PCYC, our boys defence was great with all the team moving up and tackling. Bradley Stanford, Steve Parry and Jack Gadsby were impressive as was big Jock Doyle who crashed over for a couple of tries. Rory Quarmby was in everything and was close to our best, Jack Buchanan and Kain Smith also went well. The U/12’s recorded their second victory of the year with a thumping victory over Eastridge. Lachy Marks and Matty Bolam were in everything as were Joey Kennedy and Jayden Robb who ran the ball well.
Jedd O’Neill and Sterling Carter were dangerous in the backs making big ground with the ball.
Well done boys.
