Congratulations to Tamika Ryan on winning the major singles championship defeating Joy Deebank.
This has been a great year for Tamika having been chosen to play in the State Junior Squad and now to cap it off winning the singles championship as a junior member of the bowling club.
Pennant teams No. 7 travelled to Dubbo over the weekend to play four games defeating West Dubbo, Cobar and Dunedoo but had to suffer a defeat by Parkes.
The results will not be known until next weekend until all games have been played. Nyngan has the bye so it is a case of waiting for the final results.
Round of major singles: Rick Jermyn defeated Peter McKechnie, Steven Read defeated Barry Beetson and Kevin Miles defeated Wayne Arandale in a very close game.
Semi-final minor singles: Joy Deebank defeated Mary Millar, Dianne Wynne defeated Tamika Ryan. Joy and Dianne will now face each other in the final.
Major pairs round Darrell Anderson and Kevin Miles defeated Phillip Gibson and Tom O’Neill.
Major triples round: Deb Vane, Dianne Smith and Dianne Wynne defeated Jenny Parry, Helen Beetson and Maxine Christoff 22/20. Lyn Hawley, Mary Millar and Betty Carney defeated Teressa Rose, Deanna Stephens and Marie Bexon 23/22.
Golden Oldies: Winners Kevin Reynolds and Arthur Sykes.
Wednesday bowls: Winners Andrew Reynolds and Mary Millar. Sunday bowls: Winners Barry Beetson, Tom Howard and Megsie.
Ladies please note the ladies AGM will be held on Wednesday July 15 at 5.30pm. Sheets are on the board for nominations for positions.
The next round of pairs is to be played by June 28.
All other games which are on the board may be played when convenient.
