A passerby found the body of a man in a driveway at 8.30am on Friday and called the ambulance.
Police from Nyngan, the Darling River local Area command and Dubbo and forensic investigators rushed to the property. They found a body in a caravan that had sustained fire damage.
Police did not say where the third body was found.
It is believed the two men were father and son.
Locals said people from the property had dinner at a Hermindale pub on Thursday night. Unconfirmed reports said there had been an argument.
The names of the dead have not been released
Police are treating the deaths as suspicious and have appealed to the public for any information relating to the deaths.
Acting Inspector Andrew Hurst said police were notified of the deceased by the ambulance service on Friday morning.
Acting Inspector Hurst said: "At this stage the police have not identified any of the three deceased."
"At this stage we can't release information about the gender, we expect the information should be released very soon."
He was unable to confirm a cause of death. Police are still determining when the deaths occurred but locals have reported hearing a large explosion coming from the property later that night.
"At this stage we can't release information about the manner of death for operational reasons," he said.
"We aren't aware at this stage what has exactly occurred on the premises, certainly our forensic investigation will provide more detail as to what caused the incident."
The scene is being investigated by forensic police and criminal investigators from around the region and Acting Inspector Hurst expects it to be processed by Saturday.
He reported the alarm was raised to the ambulance service by a witness.
The father, believed to be aged in his late 40s, and son, in his late 20s, were known to police and appeared in Nyngan Local Court on Wednesday on drugs and firearms charges.
It followed a raid on their property last year where police seized a number of firearms, explosives and drugs were allegedly uncovered.
Both were on bail and due to appear in court again in August.
Acting Inspector Hurst shot down speculation the crime scene is a meth lab.
"Was this an ice lab? I've got no information to say that is the case," Acting Inspector Hurst said.
The police have encouraged the community not to speculate on the incident.
"I appreciate it's a small community but at this time I can't confirm the name or the address, as soon as we get an identification process with the next of kin it will be released," Acting Inspector Hurst said.
