The Nyngan Tigers Ladies Tag Team travel to Wellington on Sunday, August 23 for the second round of the semi-finals.
The Tigers scored a very convincing 14-6 win over Wellington Cowgirls to secure a spot in the finals on Sunday August 30.
The Tigers hit the field ready to prove themselves and that they did.
Scoring three tries to one the Tigers roared too hard for the Cowgirls.
A full-field sprint by Rachel Fitzalan was unfortunately disallowed but spurred the girls on and Ebony Blake opened the scoring after a strong start sprinting a good 50 metres after a pearler of a pass from Rachelle Rope making the score 4-0.
The lead was extended to 8-0 with Astrid Linke striding down the sideline after a blinding intercept.
This put the Tigers into a great lead for half-time.In to the second half after a tricky kick from Alahna Ryan and a fumble by the Cowgirls, Sonia Lane scooped the ball to cross the line for the third time for the Tigers with a conversion by Ryan making the score 14-0.
Cowgirls rode hard and managed to cross for a consolation try but with good defence the Tigers came away with the win.
