The end of the year is fast approaching. The library will be closed for: Shire Christmas Party from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on Thursday December 17 and the Christmas and New Year period from December 25 2015 and re-open Tuesday January 5.

The library has two story time sessions left for 2015: Wednesday, November 25 and December 9 commencing at 10.30am.
We will be having Christmas themes for these days.
The library will be hosting a diabetes discussion given by Marathon Health Diabetes Educator, Wendy Nour on Friday November 27 from 2pm to 4pm. Everyone is welcome to come along to find out how to live well with diabetes.
The Summer Reading Program will again be held for the summer holiday period. Registrations will commence from December 8. This year the Summer Reading Club is all about discovery. Young readers can explore lost worlds, alterative universes and mythical creatures depicted across science fiction, historical and fantasy fiction. Go online for a wealth of activities to keep you inspired throughout the holidays.
Children can search answers to Encyclopedia Britannicas’ sponsored quizzes, craft ‘What happens next’ story endings to Paul Collins and Allison Tate’s Story starters, share their book raves and artwork etc. www.summerreadingclub.org.au
