What a great group of people pedalling 1176kms in six days to raise funds for the Macqurie Home Stay in Dubbo which will be built for the benefit of residents in areas such as ours.
The annual cakeless street stall followed on October 9, thank you so much to Rhonda Holmes who made and donated the magnificent quilt for our raffle.
Rhonda was delighted when her sister’s name was drawn as a winner, as we all were.
The rose and geranium show took place on Friday, October 16. Results will appear in a separate article.
Catering for the solar plant open day followed two days later, a busy time, but lots of fun and very rewarding.
A great big thankyou to everyone who assisted in any way at all during the hectic month of October.
Nine members attended our November meeting with dates set for stalls next year.
Cladding not yet complete but when it is we will have our new ramp installed on the eastern side of the building.
An invitation was received from a member to attend the Nyngan Public School presentation night.
International officer Maryanne gave us lots of information about Mongolia, our new country of study. Thank you for going to so much trouble to do so.
Congratulations to Bay Lovett whose Italian Doll will go on to represent the Far Western Group at State Conference.
More catering on Thursday, December 3 when we have been asked to provide morning tea for 65 guests of the Local Lands Service.
The catering crew will need scones, slices and cake so any donations of the same will be very welcome.
Final meeting for 2015 will be at 1.30pm on Friday, December 4 to be followed by a special festive afternoon tea.
All welcome.
