Borrowers who return or borrow over this period will be eligible for a ticket to win the chocolate hamper in celebration of our Library Lovers campaign which will be drawn on Friday February 12 at 4.30pm.
The Summer Reading Club Presentation was held last Wednesday afternoon with most participants attending.
Congratulations to all participating children: William Thornton, Grace March, Elizabeth Hicks, Ava Cummings, Chelsey Fitzalan, Tam Yeo, Rubi-Lee Hicks, Jasmine Thornton, Mia Cummings, Bradley Fitzalan, Jasmine Bourke, Lily Francis, Tim Yeo, Gracie Williams, Shannon Bourke, Shelley Lane, Tom Yeo and Lucy Dedman.
All children received certificates and book prizes for participating. Rubi-Lee Hicks, Chelsey Fitzalan and Grace Williams received Pendo Pad Tablets for their enthusiasm for reading.
Everyone then enjoyed a celebration party.
The North Western Library will be introducing new charges as of Tuesday March 1 to try to curb losses and long, late returns.
New overdue charges will be 10c per item per day and there is an introduction of a $6 fee per item for inter-library loans to cover costs of postage.
Clients are permitted to renew items on or before the due date should they require more time however there is a limit of two renewals per item.
If anyone has overdue items we would like you to return them before March 1 so that you do not incur a fine.
Don’t forget the library provides a housebound service to deliver reading materials to your home if you are unable to physically get to the library when you are unwell or physically unable to visit the library.
Just give us a call on 6835 9080. Other services available at your library include, photocopying, scanning, laminating and free public computers and WiFi.
The library is comfortably cooled with coffee and tea facilities and disabled-friendly public amenities for our clients’ convenience. Mums and children are welcome to spend time at the library with a baby change table available.
