May 25 was a very busy day for the Hermidale CWA members and other interested people including the Hermidale school children and teachers.
On this morning we held our Biggest Morning Tea event which was great and brought along a very good crowd including the new residents of ‘Moorilla’ Hermidale and their children.
It was lovely to have them.
The morning tea was enjoyed by all who attended.
After this a sausage sizzle was held for lunch and at 2pm president Dawn Elder called us all to order and the monthly meeting began.
A report of CWA conference which was held at Cowra was given by Dawn and Fay McPherson.
A discussion was held regarding us getting a new fence around our hall which is badly needed.
The title for the Neta Dewhurst poem will be My Home in the Bush.
I am sure there are plenty of people who can write a poem along these lines.
Cultural Day practices are now going strong each week in preparation for Group Cultural Day which will be held at Hermidale in August.
More Hermidale CWA news soon.
