This year Cobar was the host and the winner of the bowl.
Nyngan had six players up there and finished a creditable third, however they shone in other departments with Deb Matheson winning the B-grade scratch and Mandy Martin runner-up in the A-grade scratch to Broken Hill’s Jenny Steveson.
Congratulations to them and apparently Nyngan is the host town next year.
Golf resumed on Saturday with the July monthly medal. The whole field struggled with Warren Murray the best with a 69 nett a gap back was Tex Tomer with 72 nett and Pat Walsh with 73 nett was the best of the rest.
Sunday was an American Two Ball with Janine Bird and Tim Tullenew with their 66.62nett, Les Dorrington and John Wynne were ball winners with 69 nett.
Pin winners were Warren, Dorro and Mr Ah-See. Saturday’s winners were Tex and Jeff Leek. Badge Draw this week is for $700.
