Despite being still of school age, local high school principal, Michael Gibson, butcher Mr Blake and Brendan’s nanny Deb made his dream job become a reality.
Brendan was hired by Mr Blake three months ago as an after school employee. Where he progressed to pre-apprentice and now fully-fledged apprentice.
Mr Gibson said it’s been a great partnership between the school and a local business. Mr Blake is thrilled to keep employing local, younger people.
“It’s good to be keeping it local, it’s the first time I’ve gotten [an apprentice] straight out,” he said.
