1.2.3.5.6.7.10. I have lived in the Bogan Shire for over 50 years, I find the people to be friendly, approachable and supportive. For that reason I would like to become a Councillor and to represent the people of this Shire. As a “Stand Alone Council”, the Bogan Shire and Councillors have already done a great job, I would like to play a part in helping this continue.

4. Yes I have run before and was pretty close to being elected.
8. The Big Bogan has been a great attraction for the town, bringing in extra tourism dollars for Nyngan.
9. I am sure the residents of Nyngan would welcome new businesses, some shops have closed, but there have been two new ones opened. We need more Aged Housing and of course the roads need attention after the wet winter.
11. The mines at Girilambone and Hermidale have been a great boost to the town, now we have Nymagee and soon the Scandium Mine at Miandetta, they bring people, create jobs and help Nyngan to prosper.
12. Young people leave to further their Education and get jobs, I would love to have more of our youth return and take up jobs in Nyngan. There needs to be more for the youth of this Shire, not only to encourage them to return but also for them to enjoy being part of this community while they are here.
13. The drug “Ice” seems to be a problem for all country towns, not only the Bogan Shire. There also seems to be an increase in Rural theft, which includes goats, property, fuel, anything that can be resold. We need to keep up the pressure to make rural trespassing fines more of a discouragement to thieves. The statistics may say otherwise but many have just given up reporting. This is not a reflection on our local Police, I know that they do all their manpower allows.
14. I would love to be elected to represent the people of Bogan Shire, I am approachable, friendly and have a cheerful nature. I will listen to the people and do my best to be their voice in Council.
