Five re-elected councillors and four new faces make up the 2016 to 2020 council.
It took 11 counts of the vote to finalise Ray Donald, Graham Jackson, Kevin Ryan, Glen Neill, Jodi Douglas, Victoria Boag, Veneta Dutton, Tony Elias and Greg Deacon.
Council’s first meeting is this Thursday, September 22 at Council Chambers to begin their journey as the 2016 to 2020 council.
They will elect their mayor and deputy mayor, be sworn in as councillors and map out council dates for the foreseeable future.
Council will also appoint committee/organisation delegates, discuss delegation of authority, code of conduct and code of meeting practice.
Crs Donald, Ryan, Neill, Douglas and Deacon have been through the process before.
For Crs Jackson, Boag, Elias and Dutton the experience will be new.
Of the 2008 people enrolled to vote in council elections on September 10 1546 people voted.
In the 1546 votes, 33 were informal and 173 were declaration votes.
One thousand four hundred and six were ordinary votes.
To be elected, councillors had to reach 155 votes. Crs Dutton and Deacon were elected without reaching this quota.
Former deputy mayor Jim Hampstead just missed out on being on council by a margin of 11.
Candidate Penny Hoy was in contention until the last round of counting.
As far as polling venues are concerned Ray Donald and Victoria Boag received the most and second most votes at Hermidale Public School.
Ray Donald and Graham Jackson were first and second at Nyngan High School.
Penny Hoy had the most votes at the Narromine Returning Office.
Ray Donald and Graham Jackson received the first and second amount of votes in the Nyngan pre-poll.
Ian Hamblin received the most votes at the Sydney pre-poll.
No-one voted for the Bogan Shire in Sydney on election day.
Other local government areas in the region that hit the polls on election day were Warren, Narromine, Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cobar, Coonamble, Forbes, Gilgandra and Parkes.
