“I’m delighted to announce today that we have listened and acted on the need to have more dialysis services offered at Nyngan MPS,” Mr Humphries said.
“To better support local residents we will invest in a satellite renal unit comprising four renal chairs to allow local residents to have dialysis three times per week.”
“Importantly, this will save at least 12 hours of travel time for those residents who are currently travelling to Dubbo Health Service for this service.”
Health Service Manager at the Nyngan MPS, Jenny Griffiths said there are enormous benefits for residents to receive services in their own community.
“It also relieves the burden on renal services at the Dubbo Health Service, as well as the Bogan Shire Community Transport Service,” she said.
