They opened with a strong opening combination of in-form batsmen Jak Jeffery and Tim Smith who got their side off to an ideal start with a partnership of 63.
Tim was looking in ominous form with some powerful strokes to all parts of the ground but unfortunately chopped on to the stumps for a well-made 49runs.
It was then up to the young guns to build the innings and post a competitive score. Jak took up the challenge and was part of some strong partnerships with Cooper Barrow (30) and Jackson Hedges (21).
Jak top-scored for the Colts with a fantastic 87, helping his team reach a very imposing total of 205 in the full 40 overs.
The game plan from the Colts bowling attack was clear.
Get the in-form Toby Miles out for an early finish to a hot day.
From the Aussie Bulls perspective, it was important that Toby’s teammates showed determination to support him by staying at the crease and valuing their wicket.
Young Terrance Ryan (18) did a superb job to help see off Colts’ top bowlers, lasting 22 overs and running his heart out to keep up with the sweaty Miles.
At drinks, Aussie Bulls still needed 100 runs in the final 20 overs which seemed possible with Toby batting superbly and with wickets still in the shed.
Some tight bowling and desperate fielding from the young Colts kept the run rate in check but it was all in vain.
Miles orchestrated partnerships with Scott McCarthy (3), Pat Walsh (4) and Tim Walsh (7 n.o) to complete the job with one over to spare, reaching his third century (156 n.o) in as many weeks.
