On January 10, 15 girls attended a hair and make up workshop at the Palais Theater.
Volunteers Demi McKay, a qualified hairdresser from Dubbo and Maddie Dumble a beautician from Coonababran graciously gave their time to pass on some hand advice to local students.
“The workshop was run by two wonderful volunteers,” organiser Community Hub’s Katie White said.
“The girls learnt tips on applying make up and how to do different hairstyles.”
Miss White, who picked up a few handy hints herself, said everyone had lots of fun getting “glammed up”.
“All the girls had a great day and we thank Demi and Maddie for travelling out and teaching us new skills,” she said.
Red Cross Community Hub are organising more community events over the school holidays including a Family Fun Movie Night at the Nyngan Bowling Club on Thursday at 7.30pm.
