The Mitchell Highway was closed this morning while emergency services attended a car fire.
NSW Police confirmed an escort vehicle caught on fire due to a mechanical fault and believe the car is damaged beyond repair.
NSW Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance all attended the scene, six kilometres east of Nyngan between 8.15am and 8.30am on Thursday morning
Darling River Local Area Command, Inspector Steve Munn, said there were no injuries sustained.
The escort vehicle started sparking and the oversized truck hailed it over, where the driver evacuated and the fire began.
