The Bogan Shire Seniors Week celebrations will take place from Monday, March 6. Nominations are open for the 2017 Bogan Shire Senior Citizen of the Year, for residents aged 60 or over who contribute to the community. Nomination forms are available at the Shire front office and at the Library.

The week will start with a church service at the Nyngan Uniting Church on Monday, March 6 at 10am. On Tuesday, March 7 popular local entertainer Royden Donohoe will stage a “Morning Melodies” concert at the Palais Theatre, starting at 10.30am. On Wednesday the Nyngan Bowling Club will hold a Seniors Week Bingo session. On Thursday, March 9 the council will hold its annual Seniors Week Morning Tea at the Nyngan Town Hall. On Friday, March 10, various Nyngan community groups will combine to host a health and wellbeing morning.
