It showed too, with some of the shots we played.
The first game was between Marie and Dawn up against Shirley and Maureen.
Shirley and Maureen managed to keep their bowls on the mark, more than Marie and Dawn, winning 10 to four.
The next game was Marie and Dawn again this time up against Dorothy and Jean who played very well to win over Marie and Dawn eight to two.
The final was played over four ends Jackie and Shirley up against Jean and Dorothy there was four all so we had a play off with Dorothy and Jean coming up the winners by one.
It was a great afternoon of fun and laughs, so if you could do with an afternoon of laughs, with a difference come along to the senior rooms behind the library on Thursday at 2pm.

A cracking round by the "crack-n-plumbers" of 51 points was the stand out score of round 16 in the Twilight competition their team is Luke Smith, Jason Shone, Brad McDougall, and unpredictable Sav Whaley.

Anyone below the leaders would appear to have their work cut out to make up the leeway.

CRICKET
Minor Premiers RSL failed to live up to expectations in one of the lowest scoring grand finals in recent history.
RSL won the toss and batted first and it didn’t start well with the back bone of the side Glen Berwick caught behind for a duck in the first over.
It all went downhill from there, both Lupton’s failed to trouble the scorers and all of a sudden it was 3/5.
For a brief moment Dalforno looked the goods, smashing D Woods to all parts of the ground but fell to chief destroyer Damo Smith who ended up with 4 wickets.
Young Tyler Martin batted well and hung around for a while as did stalwart Richard Hoare, but a total of 65 was not going to be enough to stop the Bowling Club Colts winning the Frank Smith Shield.
R Gudgeon also ended up with 4 wickets cleaning up the tail. The Colts lost Smith early with the total of 15 but J Jeffery and J Hedges worked the ball around nicely and reached the score with relative ease only losing 3 wickets.
Jackson Hedges top scored with 20.
The NDCA Bogan Brown Snakes will travel to Dubbo this Sunday to face the Minor Premiers in the Brewery Shield. A Bus will be going, all supporters welcome.
Season awards went to:

RUGBY LEAGUE
Western has begun its 2017 under-18 Country Championship campaign, if coach Cameron Greenhalgh is being honest, a little better than expected.
The Rams suffered two disappointing trial losses, to Manly (20-8) and Parramatta (16-4), but put both results behind them with an emphatic 50-4 thumping of the Greater Southern Stingrays at Canberra’s Seiffert Oval on Sunday.
“They’ve set the standard now for the rest of the competition. That’s what I expect from them,” the Forbes-based mentor enthused.
“We’ve still got plenty of improvement in us, which is pleasing. It’s a building process but I’m really happy with the way we played on Sunday.”
Meanwhile, the Kurt Hancock-coached Rams under-16s dispatched round one rivals Greater Southern Stingrays 30-16, but it could have been much closer had they not held firm during the first half when the Stingrays enjoyed the run of play.
