Police stopped a vehicle believed to be illegally hunting on Colane Rd at 10pm on March 20.
The vehicle was towing a trailer with approximately 30 range land goats on board.
People in the vehicle were unable to provide a NVD or TSS for transporting the goats. Police had cause to search the vehicle and located cannabis.
The 37-year-old man was charged with possessing a prohibited drug and issued infringement notices for not displaying “P-plates” and stock owner not complete transported stock statement.
The goats were released and investigations will be made with Bogan Shire Council regarding the five dogs on the vehicle believed not to be registered.
Further action may be taken in relation to the dogs.
